  •  Product supply chain due to Covid-19 is in constant flux. It is important to get an updated quote before committing to your solar system. Every customer’s home usage is different. For example, you can have 2 homes next to each other with about the same size square footage, but one home with a family of 5 and the other home with a family of 2 can have significantly different electric usage patterns. Which means that we need to gather your electric usage information to be able to determine the cost of a solar system for your home.

What is the payback period for installing solar?
The average payback period is between 7-12 years.

What are the environmental benefits of solar energy?

Do you sell or lease solar panels?
We only sell our solar panels, we do not lease panels. Owning the system adds value to your home. When you lease panels from a company, you don’t actually own the system, the company owns the system and they reap all the benefits of the solar system.
We install the newest and most current panels based upon your equipment quality priorities. Tell our design team what is most important to you?

What is a grid-tied system?
“Grid” is a word used to describe the electric network that delivers electricity to our homes and businesses in our area.  The Power company is comprised of many power generation sources, tied to homes and businesses through a network of poles and wires that deliver generated electricity to businesses and homes. A “Grid-Tied” Solar PV system is a system of components that delivers electricity to your home and any unused excess is delivered to the “Grid” through the same wires that deliver the electricity. A “Grid-Tied” system will automatically shut off at night when the sun goes down and turn back on in the morning.  Your home will still use electricity from the “Grid” when the Solar PV system is not on or is not producing more electricity than is being used.

Do you install battery packages?
Yes, we can design and install grid-tied/battery backup systems, full off-grid PV battery systems and we can install smart battery systems for (backup power when the “grid” goes down). See the products we install here.

What are the PNM programs?
The most common program is similar to “roll over minutes” with your kilowatt hours. When your system over produces, those kilowatts will “roll over” to the next month. So you can accrue kilowatts in the spring & fall when we aren’t running our A/C or heat for when we use more kilowatts in the summer & winter.
